Maalox Suspension provides fast acting relief of heartburn, gas, upset stomach, nausea and acid indigestion. The formula contains two active ingredients, aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide. They are also called antacids and are used to reduce the acidity of the stomach's juices.

Instructions

How to Use 

• Adults and children aged over 12 years: Take 2-4 5ml spoonfuls four times a day or as directed.
• Children under 12 years: Not recommended.
• Shake suspension well before using.
• Do not take more than 16 spoonfuls in 24 hours.

Warnings

• Do not take more than 16 spoonfuls in 24 hours.
• Do not take Maalox Suspension for more than 2 weeks.
• Do not take this within 2 hours of other medication because it may reduce effectiveness of other products. Consult your doctor if you suffer from kidney disease or intestinal obstruction.

• Allergic or anaphylactic reactions, signs include; red and lumpy skin rash, swollen eyelids, face, lips, mouth or tongue, itching, difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Active ingredients: Magnesium hydroxide 200mg, aluminum hydroxide dried gel (equivalent to 153mg aluminum hydroxide) and simethicone 20mg.   Other ingredients: Butylparaben, flavour, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, propylparaben, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium saccharin, sorbitol and water.
